Notes

Clear skies early on with mild, breezy conditions. Low cloud built from the north.

Observations

Mars

Once again the seeing conditions were poor so the best views were obtained with the 10mm eyepiece where darker areas could be seen on the surface of Mars. The 4mm eyepiece provided slightly better viewing than the previous session but still didn't reveal any surface detail.

The Moon

A crisp waxing gibbous Moon observed with both the 25mm and the 4mm. The 4mm gave some impressive views of detail along the terminator. I captured the below photo of the Moon using the 25mm eyepiece and my Google Pixel 2.
